India Inspired Home Decor Ideas

Indian designs and arts have a unique appeal in the modern world. The Indian inspired homes are colorful, exotic, refreshing and filled with life.

1- Kantha

This is one of the oldest techniques of India where new is created out of the old textiles. It could be linen, clothing or quilts but when they are intricately brought together, they create a masterpiece called Kantha. This is an art from West Bengal and Odisha.

Jhula is a hindi word for swing. In traditional homes in all parts of India, one can find jhula in the courtyards and living rooms. They can add a palace like feel to an ordinary home as they bring in class and luxury.

A SnowMan DIY for White Christmas

My Christmas Decorations at home are Winter themed this year, My XMAS Tree is white with lots of snow .

I shared a few days back how I made Little Santa’s using paper roll HERE. My DIY for today is inspired by SnowMan made using fishbowls by  Kelly Dixon.

Things required :

1- Sphere Christmas Tree Ornaments

2- Fake Snow

3- A Red Ribbon

4- Black Craft Paper ( Cap)

5- Green and Red Craft Paper ( Xmas Tree)

6- Sticks

7- Candles

Christmas DIY : 10 DIY Ideas To Give A Last Minute Festive Look To Your Home During Holidays

Some of us begin to start planning for Christmas in the middle of a year while others wait till 24th of December and miraculously end up having a blast on the Eve of Christmas.

Here are 10 DIY Ideas that would illuminate your home last minute for Christmas.



Christmas DIY : How To Make A Mini Santa


Your every corner of the room should breathe Christmas ! Let’s begin by decorating our shelf using Mini Santa DIY

Material needed :

1- Paper Rolls



2- Craft Papers ( Red)


3- Cotton Balls


4- Black Marker Pen



5- Brown/ Golden  Paper


Firstly, begin by collecting empty paper rolls of the same size. Paste the craft paper pf red color over the rolls like this


Once you’re done with pasting, divide the rolls into two using scissors. We have to begin from the top,I have used a glittery red craft paper to make Santa’s cap.



Using marker pen, start drawing two parallel black lines in the middle of the roll and fill them with black color.


Now, make rectangular shaped buckle of the belt using brown craft paper and paste it in the middle. Draw another rectangle inside of it using black marker pen


Using glue stick,paste cotton balls spread thoroughly to define Santa’s beard and hairs.Draw his eyes and mouth using sketch pens. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes.This is what you should get –
